How do heaters work?
A heater essentially converts electrical energy or fuel energy into heat, thereby increasing the temperature of the medium or workpiece.
1. Electrical Energy to Heat
When electric current passes through a high-resistance material (such as nickel-chromium alloy), it generates Joule heating, which is proportional to the square of the current, the resistance, and the time.
2. Heat Transfer
The generated heat is transferred to the heated medium (air, oil, water, or solid) through conduction, convection, or radiation, raising the temperature.
3. Closed-Loop Temperature Control
The heater is equipped with an internal temperature sensor and controller to monitor and adjust the power in real time to ensure stable temperature and prevent overheating.
4. Multiple Energy Sources
In addition to resistance heating, induction heating (using an alternating magnetic field to generate eddy currents) or gas combustion heating can also be used to meet different process requirements.
How can SOOK's sensors, industrial cables, and heaters be effectively combined in real-world projects?
1. Unified Selection Platform
Use SOOK's product selection software at the beginning of a project to centrally determine sensor models, corresponding cable specifications, and heater wattage, avoiding compatibility issues later.
2. Modular System Design
Package the sensors, heaters, and control unit into standardized modules. Use SOOK's industrial cable connectors for quick assembly, reducing on-site installation time.
3. Intelligent Monitoring and Diagnosis
Use SOOK's automotive-grade temperature sensors to collect real-time heater temperature. Combined with a cloud platform for data analysis, this provides early warning of anomalies and improves equipment availability.
4. Full Lifecycle Support
SOOK provides one-stop technical support, from solution design and on-site commissioning to after-sales maintenance, to ensure long-term stable system operation after commissioning.
